What can we say about a Guru in this small space which has not been said before ? Gurus are those divine souls who have taken on human forms for the sole purpose of raising the consciousness of the entire earth.
Reams of pages can be written to glorify the grace of Guru, but yet a lot would be left unsaid. Guru’s life itself is an open book, from which we learn precious lessons.
We are now witness to the transitioning of the earth from Piscean to Aquarian age which is both unique and unparalleled in the evolution of earth. In the history of humanity there are many great souls, who have transcended great heights in their lifetime and their evolution from an ordinary state to extraordinary state of Master (Guru) is clearly evident in their biographies.
The seekers of truth, who follow the path shown by them, are bound to achieve the goals they have achieved in their lives. In the sacred land of India there have been many such Masters – modern and ancient. It is difficult to study all of them, but the concept underlying their lives is one -“that they have followed different paths to reach the same goal”. All the Gurus might have taken physical forms in different periods of history in different places but all of them invariably share each other’s workload and carry from where their predecessors have left. But such links are apparent to few, who read their biographies with a critical and analytical mind; a casual reader who scans through gains no such insights. Master R. K, who has imbibed the knowledge of many gurus’ work has selected 7 pairs of gurus and presented them as Akhanda Guru Satta.
Madam Blavatsky – Master CVV
Madam Blavatsky who represented The Theosophical society, had disclosed the divine plan in her book ‘The Secret Doctrine’. She authored numerous books under the direction and guidance of the Himalayan Gurus of the hidden Parliament, ruling the universe from Shamballa. Master C.V.V had the courage and unshakeable faith to give an open invitation through newspaper columns, that people desirous of achieving salvation in this very life can contact him.
Lahiri Mahasaya- Paramahansa Yogananda
They appeared in the period when average humanity had lost interest in spiritualism. They taught a simple technique of Kriya Yoga, following which a person can reach the state of Samadhi, in five years, four months and nine days. Lahari Mahasaya attained the highest state of Samadhi, while living a normal life as a householder and thus provided a new meaning to spirituality.
Ramakrishna Paramahamhansa – Sarada Matha
Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was an avatara of unparalleled life, whose life is an illustrious example of all the experiences mentioned in epics and which people till then considered hyperboles and exaggeration. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa attained superhuman heights of Gnana, Bhakti, Love, and powers after having practiced stern renunciation, non-attachment and great austerities for forty years. His whole life was spent in breaking down the barriers of sectarianism and dogma. He could realize all the Energies (Gods), by means of intense dedication with which he had worshiped them. It has never taken more than three days for him to realize a particular Energy. The greatest gift, which he has given to spiritual world, is Swami Vivekananda. On 15th August 1886, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa left his mortal body.
Shiridi Sai took over the incomplete task from Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. On 13th August 1886, Shirdi Sai had left his physical body with the instruction to preserve it for three days and if he does not return by then they could bury his body. On 16th August 1886 he returned to his body and reveled to his disciples that he had actually gone to Allah but Allah has sent him back because a devotee from Bengal named Gadadhar wanted to desert his physical body and reach him. So we see that Sai has continued the incomplete task of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa once again returned to earth in physical form as Pandit Sri Rama Sharma Acharya to provide food to all the gods and goddesses through Gayatri Yagna. Pandit Sri Ram Sharma Acharya was born in the year 1911, the year in which Sri Aurobindo has begun Purnayoga Sadhana. Aurobindo had taken 49 years to complete Savitri and Sri Aurobindo’s Savitri has been refined as Gayatri by Pandit Sri Rama Sharma Acharya. Pandit Sri Rama Sharma Acharya has awakened ViswaKundalini. Then on 23rd December 1926 Aurobindo had announced to the world that Krishna consciousness had descended on earth. And on the same day Satya Sai of PuttaParthi was born, as we understand Satya Sai is the incarnation of the Shirdi Sai.
Ramana maharshi and Jillellamudi Amma taught us about the continuity of Consciousness – Immortality which is the final goal for humanity.
LOVE is the quality that is to be developed and that is the real Parasuvedi which can transform baser metals to nobler metals. If we know how to love, even an enemy becomes a friend. Do we really know how to love? We should know how to have the real love of a Master, a Guru. Do we even think about what sacrifices these masters have done. They have descended from such higher planes. The messengers from higher planes come in abundance to this planet earth, mostly to India. You just cannot understand how they feel being here. The level at which they live. And they have left all that to transform us. Feel that touch of love from them. That is Parasuvedi which transforms you.
We are not allowing the love of the masters to touch us. Our desires are in between. The main characteristic of air is touch. Let the air that you breathe in touch you. It takes time to establish this….but try try until you get the touch of the Master.
